Connecticut River Series 1998–93
The drawings and prints from this series came from a sabbatical in 1993 during which I traveled along the 410-mile length of the Connecticut River, from its source at the Canadian border to Long Island Sound. Stopping to draw and document various locations, this visual research led to over five years of concentrated work beginning with pastel drawings and developing into color reduction woodcut prints.
